She has extensive litigation experience, having specialised in litigation since qualifying as a Solicitor in 2004.
Catherine’s choice of litigation as her area of expertise is driven by her commitment to helping people in difficult situations. She is dedicated to finding the most effective and least stressful way of resolving a dispute. Her journey into law began at the sixth-form college she attended, which offered a Law A Level that she took and found to be a truly enjoyable experience.
Catherine came to IDR, having spent 9.5 years at her previous firm (Nicholson Jones Sutton), most recently in their Contentious Probate department. Her work consisted mainly of claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975 and disputed Will claims.
She found her way to IDR Law when the opportunity to work at a firm focused on contentious probate arose, which felt like an opportunity that was too good not to take.
Catherine enjoys spending time with family and friends outside of work, walking, swimming, and watching rugby league (not playing!).
