Because relationships matter – meet our new recruit!

We’re delighted to announce that a new member of IDR Law – yes, another one (!) – will be joining us on the 15th February.

Laura Read will be starting her new role, which is also a newly dedicated role for the firm, as our Relationship Manager for Clients and Referrers alike. Laura’s arrival marks the final stages of the preparation for the soon-to-launch IDR Law Network, aimed at supporting all those professionals sending their clients to IDR Law to look after their contentious needs.

IDR Law is a Law firm specialising in contentious probate. We’re based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire but work with individuals and organisations across the country.

We’ve always been set up as a remote-working firm, offering flexible working for our team. In her previous organisation, Laura was working remotely for the last three years and we know she’ll have no problem adapting to IDR Law. In fact, we can’t wait to have her on board developing initiatives with us.

In Laura’s previous role she worked at a global Facilities Management Company with over 120,000 employees.

Laura comments: “I was a Learning Systems manager in my old firm. I enjoyed it and met some great people, but I was ready for a change. I love working with people, supporting people and contentious probate seems a really interesting area of Law where a compassion for others is an integral part of the work they do.”

Martin Holdsworth, Founder and Director of IDR Law, comments: “We’re thrilled Laura is joining us as part of our ever-growing team at IDR Law and very happy we snapped her up before anyone else did!”

Laura comments: “Working at IDR Law is a great opportunity for me. I could tell during my interview that Martin and I hold similar values and I feel there’s a lot I’ll be able to learn from the firm and from Martin, and I can’t wait to be part of the team. It’s important to me to contribute and I’m looking forward to being part of a smaller company where I can make an impact. I’m really excited to get the chance to develop the role of Client Relationship Manager, something I can really get my teeth stuck in to. Though I live down in Suffolk and will be working from home most of the time, I’m really looking forward to coming up to the office and meeting the rest of the team, when I am able to.”

Laura, we’re looking forward to meeting you in person too. Welcome aboard!
