IDR Law makes Legal 500 debut

IDR Law has received its first ever listing in the Legal 500.

This prestigious international directory has been assessing the capabilities and expertise of law firms and individual lawyers around the world for than three decades. Harrogate-based IDR Law – a boutique inheritance dispute resolution law firm, has received a tier two ranking after less than two years in business.

The new listing features highlights of the firm’s work to date along with strong client testimonials. They are described as an “excellent niche firm with very strong knowledge” and “Very approachable and down to earth. Easy to get on with and fabulous at communicating in non-legal jargon.”

Founder Martin Holdsworth, who for the 5th year has been lauded as Leading Individual in his field in Yorkshire and the Humber by the same guide, enthuses:

“We are delighted to go straight in at tier two and now have our eyes set firmly on a tier one ranking in a future edition.”

Solicitors at the firm are now entitled to display the Legal 500 ‘Leading Firm’ and Martin a ‘Leading Individual’ logo. Read the IDR listing here.

The accolade follows two other significant milestones in the development of the firm. Just days before the listing announcement, IDR reached £1.3 million in turnover and opened its 250th case.

Martin noted that:

“Our original business plan aimed for an ambitious 80 new cases a year from a standing start. We have eclipsed that. We get that new work by way of a simple two channel approach – I work hard on getting new referral partnerships in place and everyone else works hard to deliver a fantastic level and quality of service to those referrers and clients! We are already working with half of the top 10 national probate administration companies and in discussions with a number of others – I could not be more delighted with what the team has achieved in such a short space of time!”
