Do you know what would happen to your children if you died today?

A will protects your wishes in case the worst should happen

Having a will in place doesn’t just say who your money or house goes to when you die – if your children are under 18, naming a guardian in your will ensures that they’re looked after by the person you’d want them to be, should the worst happen.

Many of us don’t realise that our children, if a legal guardian is not identified in a will, would be taken into the care of social services upon our death – they wouldn’t automatically be cared for by a loving friend or relative. That’s food for thought.

FRisk helps you plan for your death to protect those you love

Martin Holdsworth, founder and director of IDR Law, came up with the idea of FRisk (Family Risk): a quick, simple and FREE way of all of us being able to assess the risks to our family should we have died yesterday, with links to carefully chosen, vetted, regulated companies who can provide you with the solutions to put the right planning in place.

FRisk is now optimised for mobile!

Based on answers to a few simple questions, FRisk creates a report telling you what would happen to your family and finances, had you died or lost capacity yesterday, and calculates the potential inheritance tax bill to be paid from your estate (money your family would lose without proper planning in place before your death).

None of us know what tomorrow will bring and most of us hope to live into a healthy old age, but FRisk gives you a glimpse into the mess you might leave behind should your life be cut short. Surely that’s worth a few minutes of your time?

FRisk is a platform that has one goal: to reduce the number of people dying or losing capacity without proper protection in place for their family.

Find accredited service providers

A number of specifically selected accredited service providers have signed up to partner with FRisk to give easy access to their services to those who need them.
