Following a growth investment from the British Growth Fund in 2023, 2024 was a pivotal year for us to deliver on our recruitment plan. Due to our sole focus, over the years we have been consistent in selecting some of the UKs best talent when it comes to contentious work, and last year was no different.
Our HQ in Harrogate saw us increase by 3 times the size and expansion in our Manchester team meant a move to a larger office was a necessity – important to note it is still a stone’s throw from ‘The Ivy’ for those team lunches!
IDR’s story formed from a real-life situation, that lay the foundations for a firm that genuinely focuses on its people, their development and their growth, which gives the individual the flexibility and autonomy to define their own success – not just words but proven.
Feedback externally and internally drives our success. It allows us to take stock and see where and how we can improve, enabling us to stay consistent, ensuring client care is on point, and we retain our average score of ‘excellent’ on Google reviews. From an internal point of view, we measure the feedback so that we can continue to build on a culture that creates a positive environment for the team and somewhere they want to grow, learn and develop.
We recently monitored our team’s happiness factor with NPS and with an average of 9.2/10 on how likely they would be to recommend IDR to a friend, it seems we aren’t doing too badly.
We are pleased to announce the arrival of two new starters in January.
Racheal Harrison joins as Senior Associate and will be working out of the Harrogate office. Racheal comes with a wealth of experience and wants to continue her career focusing solely on contentious probate, wills and trusts.
Racheal had this to say ‘I have found the transition to IDR super smooth; everyone is on hand and really supportive at every level, and I look forward to continuing my career journey here at such a specialised firm’
Having just finished his Masters, Will Audrit is new to our junior team, as a Paralegal he will also be based in our Harrogate office.
2025 is no different when it comes to team learning, as our IDRU ‘a university style online learning platform’ continues to evolve. At its helm Eleanor Stenson, our Training and Development Partner, comments;
‘We are continually proud of each and every team member at IDR and their commitment to their clients and their own personal and professional development. We want to support everyone to be able to provide high levels of service and care to their clients and to be successful according to their own definition of success. We offer 24/7 learning and development via IDRU which provides tailored courses to compliment live internal training and ongoing supervision and support.’

– Each team member defines own success goals on regular basis
This is just a small insight into some of the benefits we offer the team at IDR.
Over the next 12 months we will see further recruitment across the firm, please get in touch if you are interested in progressing a career with us.
It’s important to note that as we grow our culture will always be maintained!
