Happy International Women’s Day 2025

This Saturday (8th March) marks Happy International Women’s Day 2025. This year’s theme is ‘Accelerate Action’, and I don’t think a more appropriate team fits this description than the women who make up IDR Law.

The IDR team is two-thirds female, and we like to take the opportunity to highlight the incredible work they do every day.

IDR Law takes pride in providing flexible work arrangements to attract and keep the best talent. By fostering a fair workplace, we can actively assist each team member in advancing their career, regardless of where they are in life.

At IDR Law, we adopt a flexible working policy to ensure our team members have the opportunity to tailor their workday around their home life. CEO & Founder Martin Holdsworth wanted to give equal opportunities to those who want or need a work-life balance but don’t want to put their careers on hold.

In doing this, we have introduced flexible working policies such as options for hybrid working and working from home to ensure you really get the best of both worlds.

We want to ensure our staff feel seen and taken care of, so we offer all team members the following:

Enhanced Maternity Policy (with further details available upon request)
Flexible working policy when returning from maternity leave (employee can request working days/hours to fit around childcare)
Menopausal support
Paid emergency dependants leave
Paid bereavement leave/Paid leave in special circumstances

IDR’s Maternity Policy

To better understand how we support our team through our maternity policy, check out the video below with our associate solicitor, Kate Lister. Kate discusses returning to work as a new mother and balancing her career ambitions. Kate also shares her experience of preparing for maternity leave and the support she received during her return to work.
