IDR Law expands to nine

Harrogate-based inheritance dispute specialist IDR Law has continued a busy year by adding a ninth member to the team since the firm opened two years ago.

Solicitor Louise Sackey read law at the University of Derby and then honed her skill at law firms around the city. For the last nine years she has specialised in wills and inheritance dispute work, legally known as ‘contentious probate’.

Louise will be working from her home in Derby, visiting the IDR office in Harrogate for face-to-face meetings when required. She will be the third member of the team to take advantage of the company’s Familyflex policies, which allow parents with young children to set their own timetable and work around their family commitments.

Solicitor Louisa Wardle is based at her home office in Beverley near Hull, while colleague Kate Saunders works from her own in Doncaster, South Yorkshire. IDR’s focus on an efficient, paperless working environment has made such remote working arrangements practical – in contrast to many other law firms, which have maintained a more traditional, paper-based approach to their work.

IDR is now listed by prestigious legal the Legal 500. Martin has also been listed there as a leading individual in his field for five successive years and also a holds a tier 1 ranking in the equally high profile guide Chambers &Partners.

In April IDR reached a significant milestone: £1 million in cumulative turnover since first opening its doors. Shortly afterwards the firm relocated to considerably larger premises.
