Paralegal
Kay Clarke

Kay started her law career working for a firm of solicitors in Runcorn (Hough & Co) in the mid-1990s. Her areas of work included Criminal, Personal Injury, Family Law, Civil Litigation, Employment, Probate, Enduring Powers of Attorney, Will preparation, and Receivership Accounts. She was also the Court Clerk for the Family Department.

Kay left that firm of solicitors and started working for Stephen Lawson at FDR Law in Frodsham. She has worked with Stephen for nearly 20 years and has almost 30 years of experience in the legal sector. Kays areas of work have involved all aspects of Contentious Will, Trusts and Probate cases, acting for both Claimant and Defendants.  Claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family & Dependants) Act 1975, Disputed Will Claims, TOLATA Claims, Estate Administration, and Executor and Personal Representative Disputes.

She came to IDR Law because Stephen Lawson obtained employment with IDR and asked if she would be interested in following him. After checking out IDR Law’s Website, she liked what she saw and didn’t hesitate to follow him.

Outside of work, Kay is a doting Grandma!  She has six grandchildren and in her down time, loves reading a good novel. She enjoys going abroad on holiday and going on city breaks with her husband when she’s not looking after her two dogs.
