Kerry started her career in recruitment, in which she spent a couple of years in London providing office-based recruitment before heading back up north to focus on the public sector.  


Following a career break after raising her girls she worked for a holiday lettings company. She spent ten years here and her core role involved everything from organising bookings and administrative tasks to accounts and general HR.  

At IDR Kerry’s role is hugely varied, with a good mix of HR, risk and compliance and facilities management. Her work here involves keeping records up to date and the implementation and management of the compliance documentation and procedures. Executing this process was a bit of a career high for Kerry and seeing it all run like clockwork has been hugely satisfying.  

 As well as all of this she keeps on top of the important stuff like stocking the office up on essentials such as coffee and loo roll!  

Commenting on her role at IDR, ‘it’s got the right balance, everyone can define their own success here and that is what I love about it. I have a great job that fits around my home life and the people are a breath of fresh air – no office politics just a really approachable environment where you want to be.’ 

Something we didn’t know about Kerry was that she was a bit of an avid raver in the 90s and would hit the Hacienda quite regularly! Taking life slightly easier these days, walking her dog and a spot of yoga take precedence.
