Senior Paralegal
Paris Payne

Paris’ route into the law was not traditional. She studied a Business Diploma whilst working part time.

Paris enjoyed working over attending higher education and stumbled upon a Business Administration apprenticeship at a local Solicitors firm in 2014. Paris was successful in obtaining the role and went on to obtain a Level 2 and 3 NVQ in Business.

She took an interest in the law during her apprenticeship and worked her way up in the business to a Legal Assistant position. Upon her relocation to the South West from her tiny village in remote Wales, Paris embarked on her CILEx journey at a firm in the South West. She two exams left before she can complete her portfolio to qualify as a Legal Executive which she is hopeful will be in the Summer of 2024.

Paris’ primary experience was gained having worked in the private client departments assisting with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and administration of Estates but since late 2018 she has worked solely in Contentious Probate. Paris has a passion for contentious work as she enjoys problem solving element. She also enjoys helping clients achieve an outcome which allows them to get on with their lives after an often stressful and emotional time. No two cases are the same which she finds mentally stimulating.

Outside of work, Paris loves walking her French bulldog along the coast and enjoying a drink or two in a sunny beer garden!
