The IDR Network Launching February 2022

February is really exciting at IDR Law as later this month will see the launch of the IDR Network, or for short the IDRN.

The IDR Network has been set up by IDR Law – our sole purpose at IDR Law is resolving inheritance dispute #itsallwedo. As a dedicated team of contentious probate experts with over 100 years of combined experience we have created the IDRN to provide you and your team with the latest information, support, and training to help you help your clients when it comes to dealing with inheritance disputes.

Whether you are a law firm, probate admin company, IFA, will writer, accountant or anyone dealing with family succession there is something in the IDRN for you.

The stats

Inheritance dispute is on the rise, with 1 in 3 relying on inheritance to discharge their mortage, pay off debt or use as funds for retirement. It’s said that around 1.3 trillion will be passing from the older generation in the next 5-10 years and the impact of this is going to be marked. Many of your clients will have to deal with this at some point and this level of wealth transfer affects everything for your clients, their families and their businesses.

Dealing with contentious probate cases can often require that extra level of expertise and support for your clients and this is where we can help.

The IDR Network

We have created the IDR Network to provide you with the latest information, support and training when it comes to navigating complex disputes that may arise.

The IDRN is effectively separated into 5 main areas; Ask the experts, Legal tech, guides and resources, our partners and training brought to you by the IDR U.

Regular contentious probate updates – the IDR Law Almanack – drawing on dealing with 3,000 enquiries over the last 5 years and 100 years plus of combined legal experience, we have created a central record of all this data in the form of a series of regularly asked questions with guidance, answers, and summarising when and where our actual involvement would help.

Training and education – the IDRN members have the opportunity to access part of the fantastic IDR “University” – the IDRU has been built to provide continuing professional development training to our own 17 contentious probate specialist fee earners and support – the depth and range of the training is second to none and draws on a number of specialists in the sector through guest lecturers. IDRN members will have guest pass access to their own section of the IDRU to pick and choose any training subjects that would be useful/of help to them – the training is free to IDRN members. On the IDRN site itself, we also publish standalone guides covering specific areas of law and practice that we think will be either interesting or directly useful to you.

Updates and access to Legal Tech services and products we have developed through our Legal Tech sister company, Metrona Technologies (some are free – like our 1975 Act Claimchecker and others are discounted for IDRN members)

Partners in excellence – we have come across a number of organisations and services over recent years that we think our network should know about – they tend to be beacons of innovation and excellence that we know you will be interested to know more about and potentially may be of use for you and/or your clients – we have managed to get IDRN membership discounts from these organisations too!

Access to our array of guides and resources including our Intestacy Remembrall an easy guide to dying without a Will, who gets what and fixing injustice, our 1975 Claim Checker whether your client is considering a claim or defending one, this reporting service will give you a much clearer idea of whether a disappointed beneficiaries claim for greater provision can be made and if it has merit. And much more!

The IDRN is totally free to join and there is no minimum length of membership – the full site goes live at the end of this month but ahead of that full launch, we have opened up a pre-launch registration to give you a taste of everything to come!
