We are delighted to announce that Eleanor Stenson, solicitor, will be joining IDR Law in October this year.

Eleanor has worked in contentious probate for almost 10 years and we can’t wait to have her on our team.

“In most law firms, contentious probate is a bit of an add-on to the litigation sector, with the workload often being shared among commercial litigators. The approach to resolving business disputes is very different to resolving personal, family disputes and requires different skills to do so. Working at IDR Law is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team specialising solely in this complex area of law.”

Eleanor, who lives between York and Leeds with her husband and young son, qualified as a solicitor in 2009 and worked as a commercial litigator before specialising in contentious probate.

“Working in contentious probate, I feel that I can make a positive difference to people’s lives. For those going through issues after a family member’s death they want someone approachable, as well as knowledgeable, who can support and guide them through the dispute. It’s not always only about money – when it’s your family and you’re in serious litigation with family members, it can be a heart-breaking and over-whelming process. As contentious probate specialists we are trained to the highest level to support and advise individuals in areas of litigation, but we are also compassionate and understanding. We know that every case is different and personal to the individual or individuals concerned.”
