IDR Law – the best in class!

We’re happy to announce that IDR Law has retained Leading Firm status and Martin Holdsworth, founder and owner of IDR Law, has retained Leading Individual status in the Legal 500 accreditations 2021.

We are a small giant of a firm based in Harrogate, North Yorkshire – we’re proud of our Yorkshire roots and offer our specialist services to other organisations, and individual clients, in our region as well as the rest of the UK.

With more contentious probate key-lawyers listed in the Legal 500 than any other firm in the county, at IDR Law we’re recognised for our expertise in contentious probate. Disputes over inheritance are often emotionally and financially draining and our referral firms come to us, as they know we care about our clients and have the experience, talent and compassion to resolve issues as quickly and painlessly as possible.

Five of our contentious probate solicitors – more than all the other law firms in North Yorkshire combined – are now full members of the Association of Contentious Trust and Probate Specialists (ACTAPS): Martin Holdsworth (National Committee member), Louisa Wardle, Eleanor Stenson and, as of this week, Richard Thomas and Kate Saunders! They are all entitled to use “CTAPS” after their names.

Kate says, “for me, ACTAPS membership is important as it’s recognition of my experience in Wills and Inheritance Disputes from the only association for solicitors in this sector. It is important for clients to see that they are instructing a solicitor who has the necessary technical training and expertise, so they can be confident in the service they will receive”.

Richard comments: “Whilst the ability or approach of a firm or an individual solicitor can never be defined solely by badges or labels, being a member of ACTAPS will give clients objective comfort that when we, at IDR Law, say, ‘it’s all we do,’ that it really is all we do and that we are recognised experts in the field of contentious probate.”

IDR Law is an approachable, boutique firm and the only one in the country dealing solely with inheritance dispute resolution. Whether you’re a law firm, or an individual who feels they would benefit from our expertise, get in touch here, email us at [email protected] or call on 01423 637050.
